Take me and make me and mold me and break me into a million pieces I want to be new. I know my darling that it's so confusing but I am thankful and so grateful for you. I want to see, want to dance, want to be, and just fly like the wind, as I once was used to. I know there's treasures awaiting cross seas and I want to get there by adventures with you. Oh, oh, oh, if you go on your own, I'll let go of the rope, so you can fly Oh, oh, oh, how can I really know, how it's all gonna go, it's not time to say goodbye I'll hug you and kiss you, it's not yet time to miss you Let's fall into night, every morning is new I know my darling that it's all confusing but most of the time I'm inspired by you. I want to see, want to dance, want to be, and just fly like the wind as I once was used to. I know there's treasures awaiting cross seas and I want to get there by adventure with you

It was a chance, it was a circumstance, I had not planned on. You taught me these chords, you told me to trust the Lord, keep my hands off confusion. You tried to give me a drink, but it didn't go down smooth. And you told me stories of the adventures of you. You were in a desert land, working on the master plan, doing oh the best you can to understand. You were fed by stranger's hands, and you were led down the line, led down the line I looked you, and said, "i'm a psycho", believe it, believe it, believe it, I know, deceiving, deceiving is just the game that goes, oh why, do I wanna, do I wanna, do I wanna go? do I wanna, do I wanna, do I wanna know, what happens when you turn off the light? I forgot to show you the switch, I forgot to say that I'm mostly a witch I forgot to show you the light, I forgot to just fight with all my might, in the sky, we tried to fly All I can say, is that my body gets in the way All I can say, is that my body gets in the way You went on your way, you went on your way Memories they fade, memories they fade

A shoe won't do you any good if you don't have the other And this is just a cue that always reminds you of your mother You go and try to find a card that wasn't in the deck There was 2 or 2 of 2 of hearts, and it's got you perplexed A shoe won't do you any good if you don't have the other And you can never run away from your father and mother They're inside of your pores and every single cell in you There were too many cards in the deck, there was 2 of 2 of 2 of hearts, there was 2 Take the L out of talking, and it is just taking I stack the bricks they fall down, and again I am waking There are so many cards in this deck, there was 2 of 2 of 2 of hearts, 2 of 2 of 2 of hearts There were 2, there was me, and there was you There were 2, there was me, and there was you

about

This is my first official solo album. If you know me, you have probably gotten at least one of my cds. The songs of the days or time, and all recorded by me. Which has suited me alright, but has probably never done these songs any justice. So, in 2016, I recorded the vocals and ukulele at Wholesome Studios in Chicago, with my dear friend Will Hulseman. And he also recorded my other dear friend, Elisabeth Blair singing some harmonies. She then composed these fabulous orchestrations over these songs, and now she has taken my little token songs and turned them into masterpieces, at least in my world. I love them. I loved them before, and that is why I picked each one. They are from over the course of decade, and by no means the only ones. Just the ones I picked for this time, and hopefully there will be a next time. And now I get to share them with you.
